That first picture reminds me of my aunt's kitchen. They lived in the family's old home and had a kitchen separated from the rest of the house, and reached by going out the back screen door, down the porch a bit and into the cook house (room). In later years with a butler's pantry, they attached one of the side walls to the kitchen. Bead and board walls and ceiling, blue and white color scheme, light and airy.
