~Brain Blockage~

Have you ever felt like you just can't think anymore? I am so there! In one month my youngest (and only daughter) turns the BIG 21 (yikes...where did the time go??). She wants a big party for her birthday, so we have been busy slaving away trying to get some things done. It seems like time is running out! My mind has been spinning all summer so far, what project is most important, what is next on the list what can wait...etc. I'm sure you all have been there too!

It's given me BRAIN BLOCKAGE! I can't seem to focus on one task long enough to get it complete, my mind is jumping like a fish lookin for flies! How do I get over this? Well, so far this morning...this little bit of beauty has helped re focus me. I committed myself to spend 1/2 hour each morning looking at different home decor and sharing rooms ideas from each. We will take a peek at French Country, Country, Shabby Chic, Western (Rustic), South Western...the list could go on and on...There are so many styles and mix of styles it is impressive to see how talented people blend them to create beautiful rooms!

Without any more rambling, today is French Country Day...

Love the bed, just a subtle hints of different shades of blue. And look at that little table, simple but so beautiful!

So simple and charming! The bed is really the statement here!

Small scaled furnishing, fit for a little princess! The tiled floor and distressed walls are so elegant!

Everything in this room screams french Country!  So beautiful...

Well, I hope you all have an absolutely wonderful day, see you soon!

~Primitives~

I must admit, I love primitives! Love making them, collecting them and just well...just everything about them! Today, cruising around blogs I ran into a blog...Primitives from the Attic...that is wonderful, she makes the cutest little Primitive Anne's that you have ever laid eyes on, go on over and take a peek at her site HERE! If you love primitives, you'll love her stuff!

Look at these little cuties! They are up for adoption...thinking about giving a home to one of them (have to talk the hubby into one more for my collection first)!

I found this blog, because of this BLOG...go check her out also!

Have a blessed Sunday!

~Evergreen Barn~

A few days ago, I did some pictures on old barns that I love. I was asked about one barn from Colorado and thought I'd give what history I could find on the barn. The barn in question, is in Evergreen Colorado. Just up the road a ways from me.

The barn sits on an establishment called "Evergreen Memorial Park". The park was founded by Ron and Carol Lewis. They wanted this park to be a tribute to the pioneers of Evergreen and the Old West. It is a 100 acre park.

The barn overlooks the reservoir and mountains. The amazing thing about this barn is it was put together from five old barns ranging in ages from 70 to 100 years old. As you can see, it has the most beautiful stained glass windows.

This beautiful place is the home for weddings, receptions, parties, funerals (there is a cemetery and pet cemetery on site) and more. It also houses 3 restored stone and timber cabins. There are deer, elk, buffalo and white buffalo on site in the animal preserve.

Isn't this just breathtaking!

For more information, you can find it Here. Hope you enjoyed the little tour! Have a great weekend!

~So Smitten~

I have been trying to recreate my outdated bathroom in my mind!  I thought I wanted to go more beachy or coastal...that is until today.

OMG, I think I'm in love!

I was visiting HERE, when I found this beautiful bathroom.  I'm not sure where the picture came from...but if I can talk my husband into Lavender...this is going to be my room (or close to it)!

What do you think??
(If ya'll have any great bathroom inspiration photos, send them my way...I have a month to get going on this project)!

Have a GREAT afternoon!

~Barns~

It seems I've been MIA for a little while...actually I've been going through some medical stuff! Today while I was sitting at the hospital waiting for some Nuclear Medicine to run through my body (sounds worse than what it was!), I was looking at a book and I ran across some pictures of one of my true loves!

I love old barns! Yes, they may not look pretty to some, but they are so full of history and stories (I so wish they could tell me just one story each!). Well, I got home, pulled up some pictures and surprise...here are some that I wanted to share with you. All of these barns are either from Colorado (where I live) or Arkansas (deep family roots). I hope you enjoy!

And don't forget while visitng one of these...you need to be wearing these...

And this...
Don't you just love the pink!

First off I hope that everyone had a wonderful holiday weekend! I was sooo busy, it flew right by! No fireworks here, there was rain and more rain...most of the displays on Sunday were cancelled! Well, anywho, I wanted to share some photos that are so easy on the eyes!

Here are some beautiful rooms with pops of blue! This is a reminder of the ocean, laid back summer times and well just simply beauty...

And take a look here for the most amazing "blue" inspiration.  The Just Beachy blog is always full of great things!  Here are a few of her rooms:

Look at this table!

A blue island in the kitchen!

The cutest dresser ever!

Well, I hope you enjoyed the pops of blue day! I am off, I still have over half of the sisters to meet. I'm so far behind! Hope you all have a wonderful day!

~My Granddog~

Yes, that's right. I have a granddog. She comes to visit while my son is at work. Let me introduce you to her. Her name is Latte (this is a Guamanian name, it comes from the Latte Stone). This dog is so smart, there are days she acts almost human (sorry son, but sometimes she minds better than you...HEHE)!

Latte is a Blue Merle Aussie.  Yes her eyes are two differnt colors!

Anyhow, why I decided to introduce you to her this morning is a rather funny story. I went downstairs to put a load of laundry in the machine. Came back up and she was nowhere to be found! Call to her, nothing. Finally after a few minutes I hear what sounds to be something in my bathtub. I go into the bathroom and there she is just laying in the tub!

Here she is...just chillin'! (Oh and please don't mind the yellow tub, this is one room we haven't remodeled yet)!

She was sooo comfortable that she just laid there while I went, got the camera and took several pictures!

And this is my son Tony!  He is responsible for the shinanigans of the dog!  He is pictured here with his Grandma Sue (Dad's mom) and his sister Ashley...

Well, I know this isn't some great inspiration room, outside project or other...it's just a little insight of my daily life and times!

Hope everyone has a very safe and wonderful 4th of July. See you soon!
